Our local St Vincent de Paul Conference is recruiting!

Friday 27th September is the feast day of St Vincent de Paul after whom the Society of St Vincent de Paul is named. Vincent visited the poor in their homes offering food and comfort to those in need.

Our local St Ignatius Toowong Conference has 10 members who aim to follow the example of St Vincent de Paul by visiting local people who are struggling to survive and provide basic needs to themselves and their families. We visit people in their homes, listening to their stories and providing whatever help is necessary and within our means.

We are currently looking for more members to join our happy group. We meet twice monthly in the Horstmann Room for prayer, reflection and to discuss the support we have provided in the previous weeks. Our visits are rostered around each members availability. If you would like to join our Conference and be part of the worldwide organisation in helping the poor, please give me a call – Mary Anne Paddock 0407 003 097.
